Margaret Lee

Artistic Director
Margaret Lee is a Hawaii-grown, NYC-based director and movement director. Her work has been seen at The New Victory Theater, Ma-Yi Theater Company, Target Margin, Atlantic Stage 2, The Tank, IRT Theater, and BRIClab. International and touring credits include Install Director of Virgin Voyages’ signature show Scarlet Night and Movement Coordinator/Resident Director of the Odyssey National Tour. With Moxie Arts NY, she has directed From A to Double D (Mandy Murphy) and three world premieres as part of The Moxie Commission (Marissa Joyce-Stamps, Uma Paranjpe, Jessica Wu). As an arts administrator, she has worked at Shakespeare Theater Company, Victory Gardens Theater, Hudson Scenic Studio, and has taught across the country with The Acting Company. K. Hernandez Friend

Founder, Creative Producer
Kayla Hernandez Friend is a director, performer, writer, singer-songwriter, and producer originally from southern California. She is now jointly based in New York City and San Antonio, Texas, and founded Moxie Arts NY as THML Theatre Company in 2017. As the Creative Producer, Kayla oversees the creative direction of all Moxie projects, including compiling the production team, selecting designers, and creating the marketing images and campaigns for each production.

Madelyn Paquette

Managing Producer
Madelyn Paquette is a Lilly Award-winning creative producer and administrator whose work is centered on building community and creating opportunities for artists of historically-excluded genders. Madelyn is the Resident Producer at The Center at West Park, where she produces the annual Evolution Festival of new multi-disciplinary performance works, the Object Movement Puppetry Festival, and performances, readings, film screenings and more featuring artists such as Mark Ruffalo, John Leguizamo, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Laura Linney, and more. She is the former Managing Director of The 24 Hour Plays.
